Aeon's first mall in Hanoi and largest project to date gets ready for grand opening.
Aeon and Aeon Mall announced on September 3 that they will officially open Aeon Mall Long Bien, the first Aeon shopping mall in Hanoi, on October 28.
“Vietnam has high potential for the development of retail,” said Mr. Yukio Konishi, Chairman and General Director of Aeon Mall Vietnam and Aeon Mall Him Lam, in explaining why Aeon has arrived in Vietnam at this point in time. “Not only offering the convenience of a shopping mall, Aeon Mall Long Bien also features various facilities, creating differentiation with its competitors in the market.”
“Whole-heartedly serving guests” is the first standard adopted by Aeon Mall Long Bien, according to Mr. Konishi. “With friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful staff as well as Japanese-oriented hospitality, Aeon Mall Long Bien will always satisfy customers,” he added.
Aeon Mall Long Bien is located in Long Bien district, about 5 km from the centre of Vietnam’s capital.
On an area of 96,000 sq m with a gross floor area of 120,000 sq m, Aeon Mall Long Bien is the third Aeon shopping mall in Vietnam and also the largest Aeon project in the country to date.
It comprises four floors with 180 outlets, including 50 per cent belonging to Vietnamese tenants, 20 per cent Japanese tenants, and 30 per cent from different countries around the world.
The first floor is an International Lifestyle Complex and includes an International Fashion Zone gathering together famous fashion brands, a Sports Zone with the Renaissance Japanese fitness club on 4,500 sq m and sport stores, Water Terrace Avenue, including a square for organizing events and 12 food outlets located in a comfortable and fresh-air space, and One-Stop Solution, where stores are arranged as in a supermarket.
The second floor comprises the Real Closet Zone, providing fashion stores and an entertainment area for young people, the Life Style Zone, featuring stores providing home appliances and lifestyle goods for consumers, and a Kids Zone.
The third floor includes the Restaurant Zone, a Food Court, and the 3,300 sq m Tini World - the largest in-house entertainment area for children in Hanoi.
The fourth floor comprises the largest CGV Cinemas in Vietnam and Dream Bowling, which is for family bowling in the daytime and club bowling in the evening.
The shopping mall, which also has a parking area with a capacity of 1,000 motor cars and 10,000 motorcycles, targets to serve the shopping demand of 280,000 households, or more than 1 million people in Hanoi.
Aeon is the largest retail corporation in Japan. It marked its presence in Vietnam by opening the Aeon Mall Tan Phu Celadon in Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Phu district and the Aeon Mall Canary Binh Duong in Binh Duong province’s Thuan An town last year.
