Siemens AG is showcasing its innovative totally integrated automation (TIA) solutions and sharing insights on efficient engineering at the Vietnam Industrial Fiesta 2015 being held in southern Dong Nai province from June 10 to 11.

“Our state-of-the-art integrated technologies and tailor-made solutions have helped customers in the metal, cement, paper, food and beverage, and oil and gas industries to enhance their productivity, energy efficiency, and flexibility while at the same time mitigating the impact on the environment and improving their competitive capacity in the market,” said Mr. Thai Lai Pham, President and CEO of Siemens Vietnam.

Efficiency and productivity are two critical success factors for the manufacturing industry. Engineering plays a central role in the sector as machinery and plants become more sophisticated.

Therefore, a high level of efficiency is required at the engineering stage - the first step towards a faster, more flexible and highly intelligent production process. Siemens’ answer to this is TIA. “The TIA Portal helps Vietnamese customers reduce their engineering time by 30 to 50 per cent, which translates into significant cost savings,“ Mr Pham said.

“The automation market in Vietnam is becoming more competitive with the increasing emergence of prominent suppliers from Europe as well as the low-price strategies implemented by a number of manufacturers in the region,” he added. “But Siemens remains the sole manufacturer providing a totally integrated and complete product range.”

Siemens is presenting three of its innovative technologies at the Vietnam Industrial Fiesta 2015 that will help customers enhance their automation processes: SIMATIC S7-1500, Logo! 8, and Simocode Pro.

Siemens Vietnam dates back to 1979, when the company supplied and installed the two industrial steam turbines at the Bai Bang Paper Mill. The establishment of representative offices in 1993 and becoming a limited company in 2002 were its most significant and far-reaching steps in its history in the country.
