Country ahead in FDI with more than $36 billion in 1,569 projects.
Singapore is leading the way in foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam, with 1,569 projects and total registered capital of more than $36 billion, according to figures from the Foreign Investment Agency.
In the first two months of this year Singaporean investors also received licenses to pour $435 million into 30 new projects, with six existing projects obtaining permission to add $33.8 million in capital.
On average, each project of Singaporean investors has $23 million in capital; $13.96 million higher than the overall average.
Singaporean investors have substantial amounts into Vietnam’s manufacturing and processing industry, with 481 projects and $15.6 billion, respectively, accounting for 30.65 per cent of projects and 43.47 per cent of investment capital from the country.
