SolarBK showcased its ECOSystem solar power solution at The Solar Show 2019, the biggest international clean energy conference in Vietnam and held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 3 and 4. This second holding was organized by Terrapinn Pte.

It also introduced the integrated vertical chain to participants through VR activities and an investment calculation tool for solar power project under the ESCO concept, and also provided expert advice on solar energy solutions.

There were more than 3,000 energy industry experts from many countries and territories in attendance. The Solar Show 2019 also attracted more than 100 companies as exhibitors, about 10 per cent of which were domestic enterprises with the newest products and solutions in the energy industry. The conference also featured discussions and more than 40 presentations on the latest success and innovations in the clean energy field.

SolarBK was one of a few Vietnamese companies at the show along, joining Nam A Bank, DTP, and Phan Vu Group, among others. It has attended many international clean energy events such as Intersolar and the Solar Power International (SPI) exhibition and received many awards at international events.

This time, SolarBK joined The Solar Show to affirm its superior position as a Vietnamese clean energy company on its “home ground” with “Made in Vietnam” products and solutions. In the presentation “Rooftop Solar after July 2019: Insights from Insiders”, Mr. Mai Van Trung, General Manager of SolarBK’s Business Development, analyzed the market scenario after June 30 this year and suggested solutions as a pioneer in Vietnam’s solar power industry.

According to a new draft from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), the wholesale solar power price applied after June 30 will be based on four radiation areas (geographically) and four types of production (grid-tied, ground solar energy, accumulative system project, and rooftop solar energy). The rooftop solar power price is the highest. As well as a balanced price of 9.35 cent/kWh, this method attracts projects located in low radiation areas while at the same time dispersing some projects to high radiation areas such as south-central Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces.

The rooftop solar power price is still higher than in other countries and territories in Southeast Asia, especially Thailand and Malaysia, which share similar weather conditions and labor costs. The countries also introduced encouragement policies to develop solar power a long time ago and are now in a stable pricing period.

Moreover, the retail electricity price increased 8.36 per cent at the end of March. The opportunities for solar power development in Vietnam therefore remain substantial and attract many domestic and international companies.

By completing the integrated vertical chain, SolarBK can optimize the cost of each element and offer customers the best rooftop solar power solution in terms of investment. SolarBK is the only company in Vietnam that can totally complete the integrated vertical chain in the solar power field and can become a strategic ally of foreign investors looking at Vietnam.
