Starbucks will open more stores in Vietnam this year but the coffee giant is yet to determine an exact number since finding good locations can be difficult, according to Ms. Patricia Marques, General Manager of Coffee Concepts Vietnam, the partner of Starbucks in Vietnam.

Starbuck's development schedule is ahead of the company's plan, with eight stores having opened in Ho Chi Minh City and four in Hanoi. "We are extremely happy with our growth and we anticipate our schedule will continue to be as planned," Ms. Marques told VET.

The company plans to open more stores in various cities and provinces but every market requires thoughtful development and careful planning. "Vietnam has many interesting cities and we are looking into all to ensure our selections make sense and that we deliver in each outstanding customer service and all of our products, no exception," she added.

Starbucks has reiterated that Asia continues to be a significant growth driver. It has granted Hong Kong Maxim's Group subsidiary, Coffee Concepts (Vietnam) Limited, the license agreement for the Vietnam market.

Since 1971, Starbucks has been committed to ethically sourcing and roasting high-quality Arabica coffee. With more than 21,000 stores around the globe, it is the premier roaster and retailer of specialty coffee in the world.
