Three exhibitions give Vietnamese and international enterprises in support industries opportunities to meet and establish relationships.
On September 10 an opening ceremony was held for three exhibitions on support industries at the Hanoi International Center for Exhibition, which are the largest and most comprehensive exhibitions ever for the manufacturing and support industries, with 200 brands and suppliers of machinery and technology from 20 countries in attendance.
The exhibition includes “The 6th Vietnam - Japan Supporting Industries Exhibition 2015” (SIE 2015) co-organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), the “Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2015” (VME 2015), organized by the Reed Tradex Company, and “Industrial Components and Subcontracting Vietnam” (ICSV), held by the Hanoi Promotion Center on Trade, Investment and Tourism.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoang Quoc Vuong said that machinery plays an important role in industry, attracting a huge amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) and promoting the development of enterprises in Vietnam’s support industry to produce competitive and high added-value export products and also develops the domestic market. In recent years, Vietnam’s support industry has attempted to overcome a variety of weaknesses and has been assisted by regional countries, especially Japan, so it may be able to meet the needs FDI and domestic demand.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade believes that the three events will be an effective bridge helping Vietnamese enterprises and international enterprises operating in the support industry to meet, negotiate, and establish business cooperation activities and long-term investment,” Deputy Minister Vuong said.
According to the Head of the Economic Board at the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, Mr. Nagai Katsuro, some 57 Japanese manufacturing enterprises and 44 Vietnamese enterprises will display their products and technologies at the exhibitions. A number of enterprises from other countries such as South Korea, Thailand, India, and Taiwan, will do likewise.
Within the framework of SIE 2015 a “business-connecting day” will also be held on September 11 to strengthen relationships between Japanese manufacturers and domestic component manufacturers.
The exhibitions will take place from September 10 to 12.
