The TH Group, famed for its TH True Milk, has opened its TH School in Chua Boc Street, Dong Da district, Hanoi.

This is the first school in the TH School system, which will eventually provide kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, high school, college, university and vocational school studies.

This first school covers an area of 20,000 sq m with four levels: kindergarten (17 classes), primary school (25 classes), junior high school (25 classes), and high school (45 classes). The school’s investment capital has not been disclosed at this time.

Ms. Thai Huong, Chairman of the TH Group, said that TH School is a combination of advanced international and Vietnamese education programs. “Vietnamese children will become global citizens, they can be successful anywhere and contribute to the development and integration of the country,” she said.

TH True Milk last year began the first phase of its large-scale cow breeding and farming project in Moscow, Russia. According to Ms. Thai Huong, Russia is the first offshore investment destination of the company.

It has set a budget of $2.7 billion for a ten-year investment in the three-phase project, of which $500 million has been earmarked for the first phase. Dairy products from the project are expected to become available in the middle of this year.

In 2009, Ms. Thai Huong entered the milk business, vowing to change the nature of the industry in Vietnam, which has mainly used powder to produce liquid milk. Since then, her TH Group has invested $450 million on importing and raising cattle to produce fresh milk products, using Israeli technology.

FPT Group and Vingroup are two other giants involved in Vietnam’s education sector, with FPT University and Vinschool.

Education provided a hefty profit for Vingroup last year, with revenue reaching VND717 billion ($31.5 million), up 28 per cent year-on-year, and pre-tax profit VND111 billion ($4.8 million), up 26 per cent.

The results helped Vinschool surpass FPT in the education sector after just three years in the field. FPT has been involved in the sector for 14 years, with revenue in 2016 of VND557 billion ($24.5 million).
