Pulp and paper, tire, and coatings exhibitions being held in capital from April 26 to 28.
From April 26 to 28 the 5th International Exhibition on the Pulp and Paper Industry, the 4th International Exhibition and Conference on the Rubber Industry and Tire Manufacturing in Vietnam, and the 3rd Coatings Expo Vietnam 2016 are being held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi.
Having been organized three times in Ho Chi Minh City and once in Hanoi, in 2013, the 5th pulp and paper exhibition returns to the capital this year. According to figures from the Hanoi People’s Committee, as at the end of 2014 Hanoi had attracted 3,169 foreign paper mill projects with total investment of $26.3 billion, the third-highest nationwide. Most paper mills in the country are found in the north.
The Rubber and Tire Expo is being held in Hanoi for the first time. Hanoi and nearby provinces represent markets of potential in the industry. The government has plans to expand factories manufacturing radial car and truck tires in Hai Phong (with a capacity to 49,000 tires a day), in Binh Duong (10.3 million tires per year), Da Nang (1.2 to 1.8 million tires a year), in the central region (4 to 5 million tires per year) and in the north (300,000 tires a year).
The Coatings Expo Vietnam 2016 is an international event presenting the latest information on the coatings and printing ink industry.
