10th edition of Toyota traffic safety program gets underway.
Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) and the Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF), together with the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Department of Primary Education (DPE) under the Ministry of Education and Training kicked of this year's Toyota Traffic Safety Education Program on March 5.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the program, with three activities set to continue: the Provincial Trade Safety contest, the National Traffic Safety festival, and the fourth Toyota International Dream Car drawing contest.
The program has provided a total of 7.5 million traffic safety textbooks in the last nine year, 176,000 teaching books, and 65,000 DVDs, and conducted 32 seminars for 4,300 key managers. Moreover, almost 60 traffic safety contests have been organized at the national and provincial level.
"We very much appreciate the activities TMV has conducted with students, schools and society," said Mr. Pham Ngoc Dinh, Director of DPE.
On the same day, the fourth Toyota International Dream Car drawing contest launched its national and international rounds.
Last year, Bui Thanh Mai, a student in Ninh Binh province, won the Gold Medal in the international rounds, which saw entries from over 90 countries.
