Toyota Driving Safety Training Program aims at developing instructors who then pass on skills to others.
With direct support from the Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) and the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security have implemented training courses for the Toyota Driving Safety Training Program in 2015 within the framework of a memorandum of understanding signed on January 30.
The Toyota Driving Safety Training Program aims at developing core instructors, including traffic police from the Traffic Police Department and TMV trainees.
As a long-term undertaking the program has many phases. The first training course was held from June 23 to June 26 at the Competency Improvement and Driving Training Center of the Traffic Police Department in Thi Son commune, Kim Bang district, Ha Nam province.
In the future TMV will expand the program to train TMV dealership instructors and, later, open it to customers.
Under instruction from TMC’s leading instructor in driving safety training, Mr. Toshio Kanno, who has over 30 years experience as a test driver and chief instructor for Toyota, the trainees will become safety driving experts and can then pass on not just the skills but also the mindset needed for safe driving to TMV customers in particular and drivers in Vietnam in general.
As a leading automaker in Vietnam’s automobile market, after 20 years of operations in the country TMV has made unceasing efforts not only in its business operations, recording significant achievements, but has also been a good corporate citizen through social activities such as traffic safety, education, environmental protection, and culture.
