Auto manufacturers association report shows total sales up impressively against May 2014.
According to the latest report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), released on June 11, total motor vehicle sales in May stood at 19,921 units, up 47.69 per cent compared to May 2014.
Passenger car sales were down 5.1 per cent against April, commercial vehicles were up 5 per cent, and special purpose vehicles were down 10 per cent.
Completely-knocked-down (CKD) sales were 14,302 units, up 0.4 per cent against April, while completely-built-up (CBU) sales were 3,889, down 7 per cent compared to the previous month.
VAMA reported that total sales in the first five months were up 59 per cent compared to last year.
