VietJet has announced plans to increase the frequency of its international route linking Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok from May 18.

Vietnam’s fastest growing carrier, VietJet will add an extra daily round trip to meet growing demand for low-cost air travel between the two hubs.

With three round trips per day, the route will have a capacity of 7,560 seats per week offering passengers even more choices when planning their travel itinerary.

The new schedule will now see VietJet flights depart Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City at 8:30am, 11:15am and 2:15pm. Coming in the other direction, flights will leave Bangkok every day at 11:30am, 1:50pm and 7:55pm (local time). Flight duration is around 90 minutes.

In accordance with the airline’s expansion plans, VietJet will welcome more brand new Airbus jets to its fleet this September. The airline currently operates 28 domestic and international routes with a fleet of 23 Airbus aircraft.
