Vietjet Air has announced plans to launch flights connecting the Russian city of Vladivostok and Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue, and Phu Quoc Island.

The announcement was made during the official visit to the Russia by the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong. Vietjet Air will continue to expand its flight network from Vietnam to other parts of Russia in the future.

Flights between Hanoi and Vladivostok will begin in May next year with three round trips a week taking around four hours.

Russians tourists enjoy Vietnam’s beautiful beaches and landscapes and many companies have invested in the country. The two countries have had a fruitful relationship over the years and the new flights will help boost bilateral tourism and trade as well as meet the growing travel demand in the two countries.

Vietjet Air will connect the new flights to its other routes in Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, and Singapore, with the only stop being in Vietnam.
