Carrier also announces major new promotion to celebrate the opening of the new route.
Vietjet Air opened a new route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Taipei on December 4.
Five round trips a week will be operated at first, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The Ho Chi Minh City - Taipei leg will depart at 2.30pm and arrive at 6.55pm, while the return leg will depart at 8pm and arrive at 10.25pm (all local times). Flights will take three hours and 25 minutes. Vietjet expects to offer around 1,800 seats per week on the route, to meet demand.
To mark the opening of the new route, the carrier is conducting a new mega promotion with 15,000 tickets available starting at VND 0 (sic), applicable to travel from March 16 to October 24, 2015. Customers can access the offer and other flight options online from December 10 to 12 at www.vietjetair.com, by mobile internet at m.vietjetair.com, and by Facebook at the “Đặt vé” tab at www.facebook.com/vietjetvietnam or the “Booking” tab at www.facebook.com/vietjetTaiwan. Payment can be made by Visa card, MasterCard, American Express or any ATM card registered for internet banking.
