Carrier announces targets in passenger numbers and performance for this year.
Vietjet Air has announced a target for 2016 of transporting 15 million passengers with an on time performance (OTP) ratio of 85 per cent.
The carrier will continue to expand its domestic network and strengthen its international operations while improving service quality, especially SkyBoss and in-flight services. It also aims to achieve a passenger satisfaction rate of 99 per cent and a return-customer rate of 95 per cent.
To further facilitate future growth, the carrier has also signed numerous agreements and contracts to buy and lease more aircraft as well as cooperate with companies from all over the world, such as Airbus, Honeywell Aerospace, BNP Paribas, JPMorgan Chase, and Willis Group Holdings.
In 2015 the airline posted total growth of 205 per cent compared to 2014, earning revenue of VND10.9 trillion ($490.7 million) and meeting its target.
The airline continued to expand its fleet, receiving eleven A320s and A321s aircraft during the year. It carried more than 9.3 million passengers, an impressive increase of 66 per cent against 2014.
It also reached a technical reliability rate of 99.56 per cent; the highest of all Vietnam-based airlines operating the A320 family, as a result of strict procedural policies and effective investment in all technical activities.
Vietjet also received a Certificate of IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) from the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) for its outstanding operational standards, in the first quarter of 2015.
