Lucky passenger flies on HCMC - Vinh route.
Vietjet has welcomed its 10 millionth passenger - a major milestone after just three years of operations.
The lucky passenger was Ms. Kang Jeong Hee, a South Korean businesswoman on flight VJ270 from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh. She will enjoy complementary flights with Vietjet for a whole year. Attending an event to mark the occasion were delegates from the Ministry of Transport, Airports Corporation of Vietnam, and Nghe An provincial authorities. "I feel so lucky to be Vietjet's 10 millionth passenger!" said Ms. Kang Jeong Hee. "I chose to fly with the airline as I had read about its new and modern aircraft, reasonable prices, and flexible flight schedules."
To celebrate carrying its 10 millionth passenger, Vietjet is running a daily promotion on all domestic and international routes.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Desmond Lin, Business Development Director of Vietjet, said: "Vinh International Airport boasts excellent facilities and an attractive, modern design that meets the growing transport demands of Nghe An province and contributes to the economic development of the entire north-central region. Vietjet is committed to adding routes and boosting flight frequencies on existing flights to Vinh to meet increasing travel demand. Our Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh connection has already facilitated tourism and trade growth between the two destinations. We are also delighted to have flown 10 million passengers and look forward to flying millions more in the years to come."
Vietjet also opened ticket sales on two new routes in January: Hanoi - Quy Nhon and Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Hoi. Customers can access incredible fares for these routes by booking online.
With a fleet of 20 Airbus A320 aircraft, Vietjet now operates 150 flights per day, transporting 10 million passengers on approximately 60,000 flights in just over three years. The airline now operates 28 local and international routes across the country and the region, flying from Vietnam to Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, and Cambodia. The airline is also actively planning to expand its international flight network across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
