Vietnam Airlines cooperates with Vinamilk

Vietnam Airlines and Vinamilk officially announced a strategic cooperation program on August 6, aiming to provide international quality nutrition products to global customers and jointly develop a national brand to reach the global level.

The strategic cooperation agreement between Vietnam Airlines and Vinamilk is valid for 5 years (2018-2023). Accordingly, the Vinamilk's products will be displayed in specially designed packages bearing co-brand images on Vietnam Airlines flights departing from Vietnam, ensuring the quality to serve the airline is the only international standard 4 star of Vietnam.

The total value of Vinamilk's products on board Vietnam Airlines is expected to grow by 10 per cent per year, demonstrating the effective and durable cooperation between the two companies.

Under this agreement, in addition to Vinamilk providing nutritional products to Vietnam Airlines and its subsidiaries, the two companies will cooperate in other sectors such as co-branding in some events, marketing; share experiences in managing and operating supply chains, warehousing systems, consumer market information and brand evaluation reports.

The strategic cooperation with Vinamilk continues to affirm the effort of Vietnam Airlines to bring traditional cultural products and the best products with Vietnamese brand to the world.

Mr. Duong Tri Thanh, General Director of Vietnam Airlines said that this strategic cooperation agreement between two leading Vietnamese companies is a step to inspire the supply chain, connecting Vietnamese brands in the process of reaching out the world. “Vinamilk is a close partner who has worked with Vietnam Airlines for many years, so we will understand each other's strengths in working together to develop Vietnamese values,” he added. “The clean agriculture ecosystems, food safety and nutrition products of Vietnam need more support in promoting the world. On the way to continuously improve our products and services to meet the needs of international markets, we are delighted to be able to co-ordinate with local firms to further more goals, reach out to the world.”

Ms. Mai Kieu Lien, General Director of Vinamilk said that the long-term cooperation relationship between Vinamilk and Vietnam Airlines has been raised to a new height. “The strategic cooperation agreement with Vietnam Airlines demonstrates the foresight of Vinamilk and Vietnam Airlines as it not only helps the two companies to develop trade but also boosts the international level of both brands,” she affirmed. “In the long term, Vietnamese brands will be more widely recognized in overseas markets. The close cooperation on the basis of mutual understanding between the two businesses will contribute to help both together reach out to the world.”

Vinamilk has a system of 10 farms spread throughout Vietnam that meets Global GAP standards with all cow breeds imported from Australia, US and New Zealand. A total of about 120,000 tons of fresh milk raw materials were produced per day. Estimated total cow population will be raised to about 200,000 by 2020, with raw milk production expected to double by 2020.

Since 1997 till now, the total export turnover of Vinamilk has reached about $2 billion. To date, Vinamilk has been exported to 43 countries and territories, including countries with high requirements for quality in nutrition products such as Japan, Canada, US, Australia, Thailand.

Vietnam Airlines achieved impressive sales of VND88.400 trillion ($3.8 billion), transporting 26.5 million passengers in 2017. Vietnam Airlines is proud to be recognized by the Skytrax as the 4-star airline for two consecutive years and ranked 14th out of the top 20 airlines in the world.
