National flag carrier adopts new brand identity strategy.
Vietnam Airlines has announced it will change its logo as part of a new brand identity strategy.
The new logo features a golden lotus and “Vietnam Airlines” in bold letters. The carrier said that the image of the lotus and the lettering of Vietnam Airlines on its current logo, introduced in 2002, lacks style. The logo has also been used inconsistently in airplane interiors, on staff uniforms, at check-in counters, and in waiting rooms. The move comes as the airline implements plans to become a four-star airline this year.
It also started testing a new uniform for flight attendants from March 3, collecting opinions from passengers. The new uniform will be officially introduced in May.
