Vntrip.vn, an online hotel booking system in Vietnam, signed a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) on September 12 in Hanoi to provide 360-degree photo technology.

The agreement aims to promote the image of Vietnam’s tourism to domestic and international tourists through a database of tourist destinations digitized by 360-degree photo technology.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in deploying the photo technology in tourism, building a “Travel VNTrip360” portal and application, providing solutions for communications technology for tourism, enhancing the efficiency of e-marketing and promotion, expanding cooperation with localities and enterprises in tourism development, and building digital products for tourists.

VNAT will also support the provision of tourist information such as articles, photos, videos, leaflets, brochures, and maps for Vntrip.vn to increase the number of domestic and international guests. Vntrip.vn will also accompany VNAT in campaigns to promote Vietnam’s tourism, incorporating the logo and brand identity of Vietnam tourism (Vietnam Timeless Charm) in products within the project to introduce the image of Vietnam tourism.

On the occasion of the signing, Vntrip.vn also officially announced the merger of Atadi.vn, a provider of cheap airfares in Vietnam, into its system.

“We are very happy to be able to join hands with Atadi.vn, which has recorded impressive revenue that is expected to reach VND500 billion ($21 million) this year,” said Mr. Le Dac Lam, CEO of Vntrip.vn. “With the results of Atadi.vn and with support from Vntrip.vn, we believe Vntrip.vn will bring a comprehensive and convenient travel service to customers, creating a true online travel brand in Vietnam for Vietnamese people.”

Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Founder of Atadi.vn, told VET that Atadi.vn and Vntrip.vn will contribute to promoting the development of Vietnamese tourism businesses. “We expect to double growth after one year of this cooperation,” he said.

Vntrip completed fund raising in August from Swiss investor IHAG Holding with a valuation of $45 million. It previously completed Series A fund raising of $3 million from the FengHe Group and Hancock Revocable Trust and also announced in 2017 it had raised up to $10 million in capital from Hendale Capital.

It has the advantages many local OTAs hold in winning in the domestic market: superior customer service through 24/7 call centers, unique services such as free airport transfers, creative marketing programs, and strong local relationships.

Atadi.vn was one of the first low-cost ticketing websites in Vietnam, helping users find, compare and book airline tickets online from multiple airlines. It also provides all necessary information, ensuring honesty and transparency in fares and taxes in accordance with airline policies.
