Zamil Steel Vietnam has signed a range of contracts with foreign investors in Vietnam to design and build textile and apparel factories
With many strengths in techniques and services, Zamil Steel Vietnam has signed a number of contracts this year with several foreign investors in Vietnam, such as the TexHong Textile Group (Hong Kong), the Shenzhou Corporation (Hong Kong), and the JeongSan Corporation (South Korea), where it will be responsible for the design, supply, and construction of textile and garment factories. The projects are expected to be completed at the end of this year.
Construction of the TexHong factory, at the TexHong Hai Ha Industrial Park in northern Quang Ninh province with total investment of VND4.52 trillion ($210.2 million), got underway in January, while the Shenzhou and JeongSan factories are being built at the Phuoc Dong Industrial Park in the southern province of Tay Ninh.
The government is encouraging foreign direct investment (FDI) in textiles so that it may become a key industry in the country. Since the beginning of this year a series of FDI projects in the textile and apparel sector in cities and provinces throughout Vietnam have been preparing to begin construction.
Together with the development of the textile sector, Zamil Steel Vietnam has become one of the pioneering names in the field of factory design and construction. Its building solutions have been the choice of many textile enterprises because of their flexible design, durability, and ability to optimize production space, and facilitate appropriate standards of good manufacturing practice (GMP).
