Reports indicate a restructuring of key personnel.
FPT is reported to have made several recent key personnel adjustments. Mr. Hoang Viet Ha, the former CEO of Bao Viet, is to be FPT's new COO while Ms. Chu Thi THanh Ha will step down from her position as Deputy CEO in order to focus on managing FPT Telecom as Chairwoman.
FPT’s Chairman Truong Gia Binh has also reportedly signed Mr. Uwe Schlager, previously Head of FPT Germany, to be the new Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) effective from April 1.
Mr. Schlager made a huge contribution to the biggest M&A in FPT’s history with RWE Group last June. The deal not only brought FPT Slovakia a multi-million-dollar contract with RWE but also opened up a new business portfolio of worldwide utility for the giant Vietnamese enterprise.
M&A will continue to play a very important role in the global integration orientation of FPT in the coming years and the enterprise will make an effort to realize at least one or two new deals each year, focusing on IT companies in fields such as utilities, telecommunications and banking.
