Service cost structure released by People's Committee the same as announced in June last year.
The Hanoi People’s Committee has announced that apartment service costs will remain unchanged, at a maximum of VND16,500 ($0.76) per sq m.
The regulation it issued is divided into two types of apartment blocks: those with an elevator and those without.
Service costs at apartment blocks without an elevator will be from VND450 ($0.02) per sq m and VND5,000 ($0.23) per sq m. The cost at apartment blocks with an elevator, meanwhile, will be from VND800 ($0.03) per sq and VND16,500 ($0.7) per sq m.
The People’s Committee said the cost structure does not include premium services such as saunas, pools, tennis courts, or others. The regulation also clarifies that the management board of an apartment block is allowed to determine the cost to be imposed. Where there is no management board, the cost imposed must be approved by more than 50 per cent of households living in the block.
The Hanoi Departments of Construction, Finance, Natural Resources and Environment, Taxation and other relevant departments gather comments from residents to determine the most appropriate cost structure, for submission to and decision by the People’s Committee.
