Phase 1 of OneHub Saigon at Saigon Hi-Tech Park to be completed in 2018.
Ascendas and Saigon Bund Capital Partners broke ground for OneHub Saigon Phase 1 at Ho Chi Minh City’s Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) on October 1.
On an area of 12 ha, the project is a joint venture between Ascendas and Saigon Bund Capital Partners with a capital contribution ratio of 60:40 and will be developed in three phases with total investment of about $130 million.
OneHub Saigon will include business space for companies in sectors such as high-tech support industries and IT, work-office-home-offices, which are work facilities that can accommodate work and living activities, and education facilities. The project expects to create more than 8,000 jobs.
Phase 1, with investment of about $80 million, is on more than 12,000 sq m and includes a business space and lifestyle amenities with a mixed-use commercial development and retail and is expected to be completed in 2018.
This is the second project of Ascendas in Vietnam, after the Singapore Ascendas - Protrade Tech Park (APSTP), a 500-hectare new generation industrial park in southern Binh Duong province.
SHTP caters to high technology enterprises and is located 15 km from downtown Ho Chi Minh City. It has to date attracted capital investments of over $4.7 billion from almost 100 multinational companies.
