Hai Phong complex consists of of urban area and industrial zone, invested by the Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation and its subsidiary, Trang Cat Urban Development Ltd.
The Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation and its subsidiary, Trang Cat Urban Development Ltd., began construction on June 1 of an urban area and industrial zone complex in Trang Cat commune in the northern port city of Hai Phong, with capital of $70 million.
The complex is located on an area of 790.79 ha near Cat Bi Airport and adjacent to the end of the Hanoi - Haiphong Expressway. When the entire expressway is open to traffic it will take less than one hour to reach the complex from Hanoi, making its holiday homes attractive to people from the capital. Kinh Bac and Trang Cat have also invested an estimated VND100 billion ($4.7 million) in building a four-lane tunnel linking the complex to the expressway.
The complex features a high-tech industrial zone on 205.88 ha specifically designed to attract enterprises in electronics, IT and pharmaceuticals, while the urban area on 435.73 ha consists of houses, service and entertainment facilities, and a resort. There is also a social housing and service area on 116.56 ha and a green space of 32.62 ha.
Kinh Bac is a major builder of industrial zones in Vietnam, such as the Que Vo Industrial Park in the northern province of Bac Ninh, the Trang Due IP in Hai Phong, and the Tan Phu Trung IP in Ho Chi Minh City, just name just a few. Its IPs have attracted many large projects of South Korean and Japanese enterprises, including LG Electronics’ $1.5 billion project at the Trang Due IP.
