New shopping mall in HCMC's District 7 brings a range of shopping and dining options to the city.
SC VivoCity in District 7, one of newest and most modern shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh City, was officially opened on September 20.
Located at 1058 Nguyen Van Linh, SC VivoCity, which is jointly managed by the Singapore-based real estate developer Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd and Vietnam’s Saigon Co.op Investment Development JSC (SCID), has a gross floor area of 62,000 sq m.
The cooperation between SCID and Mapletree perfectly combines the strengths, experience, and expertise of the two sides, making SC VivoCity a world-class shopping mall and an ideal shopping destination in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tranh, General Director of SCID, was quoted as saying.
Since its soft opening on April 19 more than 150 shops have been leased on a total area over 41,000 sq m, or 90 per cent of the leasable area.
The center also incorporates the successful elements of Singapore’s largest mall, VivoCity. With modern and impressive architecture, SC VivoCity is home to well-known retail brands and popular dining choices, and will feature year-round events and festivals.
Besides retail options such as Topshop-Topman, Miss Selfridge, and Dorothy Perkins, as well as home-grown apparel labels like Ninomaxx, SC VivoCity also boasts many flagship stores and new-to-market brands such as Co.OpXtra Tan Phong - an 8,000 sq m hypermarket, CGV SC VivoCity - CGV’s largest cinema in Vietnam, the first McDonald's store in a Vietnamese shopping mall, and the first Harley-Davidson Black Label outlet in Asia.
SC VivoCity is part of Saigon South Place, a 4.4 ha commercial complex that includes three Grade A business towers and two international apartment buildings.
