Group meets local authorities over project for new administration center.
A representative of Vingroup said that over the last week the Group and the Thanh Hoa People's Committee had met regarding a plan to build a new administration center using the land housing the current administration center in the city.
According to the plan, Vingroup will build a 25-storey commercial centre with an area of 5,500 square meters and a three-storey commercial building on an area of 44,740 square meters at the site of the existing administration center in Dien Bien ward, Thanh Hoa city.
Vingroup committed that the project would be built according to requests of the Thanh Hoa People's Committee to make it a high-grade urban area. The Group is now completing a design for submission to Thanh Hoa authorities.
If the plan is agreed to, Thanh Hoa will be one of first two provinces in Vietnam to have a building complex that includes a commercial center, hotels and pedestrian mall for tourists. The group has said the project will be completed in February 2016.
Vingroup is promoting its business in many fields and throughout the country. It recently received two awards, including "Best Complex Project" for its Times City urban area and "Best Commercial Center" for the Vincom Mega Mall Times City, at the Asia Pacific Property Awards.
