Australian community to get together at Australia Day Family Event on January 28.

The Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City will hold its second annual Australia Day Family Event on January 28 at RMIT Saigon South Campus in District 7 from 1pm to 6pm.

Consul-General Ms. Karen Lanyon said that “our first Australia Day family event in 2017 was a huge success, attracting over a thousand attendees. This year it promises to be even bigger and better as we also mark the beginning of celebrations for the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and Vietnam.”

Mirroring Australia Day celebrations held all over Australia every year, the Australian community, Australian alumni, and their families will enjoy classic Australian dishes prepared by leading restaurants and Australian chefs, live entertainment, and fun sports and games, including Zorb ball soccer, AFL, rugby, a bouncy castle, face-painting, DIY lamingtons, and much more!

There’s also the chance to win fabulous prizes, including a barbecue, in the door prize and best dressed competition, so come along wearing your best Aussie outfit.

Tickets are VND250,000 ($11), including five food and beverage vouchers for adults, VND150,000 ($6.6), including three food and beverage vouchers for kids under 12, and VND750,000 ($33.2) for the family package (two adults and two children under 12). Entry is free for children under two years of age.

Tickets are available for purchase at the gate but are limited, so pre-purchase is encouraged to avoid disappointment.
