Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam (Doosan Vina) has held the “Doosan Day of Community Service” (DDCS) at Binh Chanh Primary School No. 2 in Binh Son district, central Quang Ngai province.

Doosan Vina outlaid VND150 million ($6,520) and sent 100 employees to upgrade the school by painting classrooms, renovating the playground, cleaning the campus, and donating school supplies and facilities such as iron gates, bookshelves, blackboards, and other equipment.

First held in October 2014, DDCS has become an annual event featuring the unique and distinctive sharing of cultures at the Doosan Group. It took place in 19 countries and territories around the globe this year, such as South Korea, the US, the UK, the Czech Republic, Germany, Chile, Australia, India, China, Vietnam, and elsewhere.

Many diverse and rich activities were held. In South Korea, Doosan volunteers donated furniture and cleaned and cared for cultural heritage sites. A group in the US painted libraries and classrooms, helped the homeless, removed sand from playgrounds, and relocated sheds. In China, a group participated in blood donations and donated school supplies to local schools.

More than 52,000 employees of the Doosan Group have participated in this meaningful community program to date.
