The Hospitality & Tourism Institute has been launched in central Da Nang city by Duy Tan University, becoming the first of its kind in the city and the central region.

The institute focuses on training courses to comprehensively develop professional knowledge, occupational skills, and intensive foreign language skills to foster high-quality human resources in hospitality and tourism.

It also provides high-quality training programs transferred from Pennsylvania State University in the US, which is one of the top 5 universities in tourism management, bringing students a modern international education environment as well as an international-standard major.

Human resources need to meet global standards in the context of Vietnam welcoming a surge in foreign visitors and targeted to be among the top countries in Southeast Asia in the tourism development index.

The institute also cooperates on exchange programs with other countries in the region, such as South Korea, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Thailand, and Malaysia, to give local students an opportunity to study in these countries at an international level.

Participating in the ASEAN 4.0 Journey Program and internship programs in hospitality and tourism of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), the institute will also send students to intern and work in countries in Southeast Asia.

Duy Tan University has regularly cooperated with the Asia Pacific Tourism Association (APTA), universities in Asia and Europe, the Da Nang Department of Tourism, and businesses in hospitality and tourism to organize international conferences to identify solutions for the development of the tourism industry in the city in particular and the central region in general.

It is expected that 98 per cent of students will find a good job in the hospitality and tourism sector upon graduation. Duy Tan University has already contributed over 8,000 bachelor-level workers to the sector.

Established in 1994 and the first and largest private university in central Vietnam, it offers various academic programs ranging from vocational to doctorate levels. Over 89 per cent of graduates find jobs within six months, while 100 per cent of software technology graduates find employment.
