The K-Food Fair is being held on June 9 and 10 at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi, showcasing the best of Korean food.

The fair is being jointly organized by South Korea’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korean Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation and is part of activities to promote trade and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and South Korea in 2018.

Together with hundreds of Korean dishes, the fair also features a cuisine contest and games for visitors, such as speed eating and guessing the names of dishes, as well as a lucky draw. Visitors can also try to prepare Korean food under instruction from professional chefs.

Another highlight for fans of K-culture is a K-Pop contest and musical performances by famous singers and artists from the two countries, including South Korean singer Hyuna and the Highlight band and Vietnam’s 2015 The Voice winner Duc Phuc.

Famous Korean DJs such as Daisy and Bagaee Viphex13 also promise to light up the stage.

The head coach of Vietnam’s U/23 men’s football team, South Korean national Park Hang Seo, who led them to second place in the U/23 Asia Cup 2018 for the first time, will be present on June 9 as a brand ambassador of South Korean cuisine and will meet with visitors.

With free entry, the event is expected to attract some 200,000 visitors.
