$92.4 billion to be spent from 2016 to 2020 on new targets.
Hanoi will spend over VND2.1 trillion ($92.4 million) on easing congestion and ensuring traffic safety in the 2016-2020 period.
It aims to reduce traffic jams at least 40 points around the city, and cut the number traffic accidents, fatalities, and injuries by 5 to 10 per cent each year.

The city will also restrict the use of personal vehicles and continue to implement an existing program on curbing traffic accidents.
It will also focus on raising awareness about obeying traffic laws and using public transport and on promoting the application of technology in traffic management.
Hanoi will implement six other main projects in 2016-2020 with an important role in minimizing congestion and improving traffic safety, with funding of VND81.5 billion ($3.58 million).
