The TEDx Community of Hanoi has announced that the "TEDx in Hanoi Event Series 2015" will be held from August 8.
Licensed by TED (Technology - Entertainment - Design) Global and with TED’s global standards, the “TEDx in Hanoi Event Series 2015” aims to inspire Vietnamese people towards success, to think differently and to make a change. The event series is expected to be of large scale, interacting with 5,000 people around Hanoi and be one of the biggest events this summer.
The TEDx week Hanoi will start from August 8 to August 16. On August 8 is the Opening Ceremony and Exhibition of Art & Creative Technology Products of Vietnam. From August 10 to August 12, three TEDx Talks about Technology, Business, Education, Environment, Art and Life Story will be held. On August 14, two workshops with the topic Creative Ideas and New Technology Products will be held. “With the slogan ‘Stop & Start’, we want to spread the idea of ceasing with wrong things and starting to find new opportunities,” said Ms. Dang Minh Ngoc, Head of the Organizing Committee.
A Gala Dinner will also be held on August 16. According to Ms. Ngoc, it aims to provide a venue for new connections and the spreading of ideas from previous TED talks, to make Hanoi a better place to live.
TED was founded in 1984. Since then it has attracted around 60 excellent speakers and over 1,000 audience members annually. Famous people to take the TED stage include US President Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Seth Godin, among others.
With the slogan “Ideas Worth Spreading”, TED has become a place to share knowledge, opinions and thoughts and is a community connecting people who are willing to learn, to think, to be innovative, and to be creative.
