With the theme “Thailand Culinary Paradise”, a Thai cuisine week is being held from August 17 to 26 at the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel by the Thai Embassy in coordination with the hotel.

The week aims to give diners an opportunity to explore the culture and culinary art of “The Land of Smiles”.

The hotel has adopted a Thai atmosphere for the week, with colorful hanging umbrellas, Chiang Mai khom kwaen lanterns, and a miniature of the famous Wat Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram Pagoda.

Thai guest chef Yanat Maartloet and three other experienced chefs from the Suan Dusit International Culinary School will present authentic northern and central Thai delicacies.

Special ingredients in preparing Thai dishes and desserts, including Foi Thong, or golden egg yolk threads, and Luk Chup, or fruit-shaped mung beans, will be used. The premium buffet, with authentic northern and central Thai delicacies, includes Khao Soi noodles, traditional Nam Ngiao, sweet and sour Tom Yum soup, delicious green curry, and spicy Phrik King. Each dish is an eye-catching work of art.

Diners will have also the opportunity to win two return tickets to Chiang Mai, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand, from Bangkok Airways.

The Hanoi Daewoo Hotel has hosted many cultural activities over the years, including a Russia food festival and Taste of Vietnam, among others, providing the perfect opportunity for cultural exchange and tourism promotion and tightening the relationship between Vietnam and other countries, according to General Manger Erwin R. Popov.
