Restructuring of 432 SOEs to be completed by end of year.
With the aim of implementing the government's plan to equitize 432 enterprises in 2015, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh, Head of the Steering Committee for State-owned Enterprises Innovation and Development, has signed a decision on the main tasks for the agency during the year.
One of the key tasks is for the agency to continue to improve mechanisms and policies in innovating and restructuring State-owned enterprises (SOEs) as well as inspections and supervisions over their activities.
The agency will also direct and supervise ministries, departments and State-owned corporations to accelerate restructuring and equitize enterprises that have 100 per cent State capital, during 2014-2015.
It will also review and supplement the list of enterprises where equitization is necessary, for submission to the Prime Minister in the first quarter. A plan to equitize SOEs in 2016-2020 is to be completed and submitted to the government in the third quarter.
Another key task for the Steering Committee is to monitor and supervise the implementation of the restructuring of Vinashin, under a Resolution from the government.
