New EVNNPT substation underway in central highlands province.
On the evening of July 30 the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) held a takeover test and electricity test in order to put the 220KV Kon Tum Substation into operation. This marked the completion of the “220KV Kon Tum Substation and Connection” project.
The substation has a capacity of 2 x 250MVA, with one transformer installed already on an area of 70,000 sq m in Thanh Trung village, Vinh Quang commune in Kon Tum city.
It will receive and transmit capacity from hydroelectric plants in the Kon Tum area to the national electrical grid, which will help provide electricity safely, continuously, and stably, serving the needs of socio-economic development and ensuring the security and national defense of central highlands’ provinces.
The project has total investment of VND450 billion ($20.63 million) and is invested by EVNNPT. The Power Transmission Company N01 (PTC1) will manage and operate the project on behalf EVNNPT.
