The 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, at its third session that concluded on July 7, adopted a number of important documents as guidelines for the stronger reform of the Party’s leadership.

Members of the Central Committee agreed in principle on the operating regulations for the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission for the 12th tenure.

The operating regulations have been amended and supplemented with important new content regarding the obligations and rights of the Politburo in determining goals and major solutions for socioeconomic development.

The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission will have more responsibility and rights in examining and supervising the tallying of assets owned by officials, under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat.

Deputy Ministers and higher fall under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
