Visits to take place from August 7 to 9.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his wife will pay an official visit to Malaysia on August 7 and 8 at the invitation of Prime Minister Najib Rajak and then Singapore on August 9 to attend celebrations for the country’s 50th anniversary of independence at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
During the official visit to Vietnam by PM Rajak and his wife on May 3 to 5 last year the two PMs agreed to accelerate the strategic partnership for the benefit of the people of the two countries and for development and stability in Asia-Pacific and the world.
The two countries targeted to achieve bilateral trade turnover of $11 billion before 2015 and committed to provide favorable conditions to investors when doing business in each country.
During PM Loong’s visit to Vietnam in 2013 he and PM Dung said the relationship between Vietnam and Singapore is a strategic partnership with five main points: bolstering political relations, economic cooperation, national security, cooperation in regional and international forums, and cooperation in sectors such as education, law, healthcare, culture, arts and sport.
