Online startups will be discussed at the Vietnam Online Business Forum (VOBF) 2017, to be held by the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) on February 24 in Hanoi and March 3 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Forum will have five topic sessions: an Overview, Cloud Technology and Mobile Phones with E-commerce, Omni Channel, Cross Border E-commerce, and Online Startups. The Vietnam E-commerce Index 2017 will also be released.

The aim of the Index is to help people assess the e-commerce application rate and compare the development of e-commerce in different localities. Based on the results of the Index from 2011, VECOM said that e-commerce in the country is developing but not balanced in different regions.

“The Forum will also introduce new research about Vietnam’s e-commerce and international e-commerce to support enterprises to adopt a reasonable business strategy,” Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, President of VECOM, told a press conference on VOBF in Hanoi on February 16.

Speakers at the VOBF will include representatives from the Vietnam E-commerce and Information Technology Agency, Nielsen, Google, Facebook, Vietnam Post, Verisign, and Lazada.

Attendees will have the chance to meet with representatives from Z.com, VeriSign, Matbao, Bizweb, Gimasys, TrustPay, Interspace, Netnam, and iNet. The special features of startups in the sector will also be discussed.

VOBF 2017 is the largest such Forum held and VECOM expects to hold it annually to connect Vietnam’s e-commerce enterprises. It is a good opportunity for enterprises and individuals to discuss new trends in online business and creative business.
